This Privacy Policy explains what information Knovius collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and the Knovius learning platform.
Account information (name, email, organization); content you upload to power your AI tutor (documents, PDFs, handbooks, job descriptions); usage data (features used, session duration, exam and viva results); and technical data (IP address, browser type, device information) collected automatically. When you submit the Contact Us form, we also store the name, email, topic, and message you provide.
To provide and maintain the Service — indexing your content so the AI tutor can answer from it; to generate exams, vivas, and analytics; to respond to Contact Us submissions and support requests; to improve reliability and detect abuse; and to comply with legal obligations.
Documents you upload are processed and indexed only within your organization's isolated workspace. Retrieval is scoped to your workspace, so the AI tutor never answers using another organization's content, and your content is not used to train shared or public AI models.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Service under confidentiality obligations — for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, and the AI/LLM providers that generate tutor responses — and only to the extent necessary, or when required by law.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, role-based access control, and per-organization data isolation. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information and uploaded content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Contact Us submissions are retained so our team can review and follow up on them. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us; some information may be retained where required for legal or accounting purposes.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent for optional processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@knovius.ai.
Knovius is used by students under the supervision of a school, teacher, or parent/guardian who creates and manages the student's account. We rely on the enrolling institution or parent/guardian to obtain any consent required for minors before creating an account.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the revised effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify active organizations by email.
